Now dubbed as the Reality Show Queen, Melai Cantiveros was overwhelmed by her win last Sunday (June 7, 2015) at the Grand Finals of Your Face Sounds Familiar. All she can say is, “Thank you. Thank you Lord.”
She also said that she won because of her choice of song – “Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus”. This is the reason why Melai said she was able to get a whopping 51.93% of the text votes, smashing her way to the top and become the first-ever grand champion of Your Face Sounds Familiar.

“Syempre nirerespeto ko naman ‘yung mga sinasabi nyo. Kasi nga syempre kanya kanyang opinyon yan, tsaka social media yan, Alangan namang ‘di ko respetuhin ‘yan patay naman ako,” said Melai, showing no discontent among the netizens that deemed her underserving to be declared as the grand champion.
