Fashion designer Renee Salud said Teresita “Winwyn” Ssen Marquez is not a beauty queen material. In an interview with the entertainment site Pep.ph, he also mentioned he did not see any potential in her.
Renee discovered and mentored Melanie Marquez who won the Miss International 1979 title. In the recently concluded Binibining Pilipinas 2015, Melanie’s niece, Winwyn failed to win the title and did not even make it to top eight.

Apparently, the comment of Renee reached the camp of WinWyn, prompting the 22-years-old actress to react using her Twitter account:
“It’s fine if some people think im not beauty queen material.. im happy na napakita ko kung ano kaya ko..atleast i tried dahil gusto ko.”
