Ronda Rousey says she could beat Mayweather in a no-rules fight

The undefeated UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey escalated her public feud of words with Floyd Mayweather Jr. during a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Monday, August 10, 2015.

During the AMA session, a fan asked Rousey if she thinks she could beat the boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Rousey admitted, “Floyd is one of the best boxers of all time. He would definitely beat me in a boxing match.”

However, she added, “I unfortunately don’t get into ‘matches.’ I fight for a living. In a no rules fight, I believe I can beat anyone on this planet.”

“Boxing is a sweet science with strict rules that I respect very much and aspire every day to improve at. But you said ruleless fight, and that’s my honest answer,” ended Rousey.

Rousey was named Female Athlete of the Year as she wins ‘Best Fighter’ award at this year’s ESPYs. She was annoyed last July 2014 after Mayweather said he didn’t know who she was, which was untrue according to Rousey because he was a nominee for the said award.
