It is confirmed, renowned singer Lea Salonga will once again share her magical voice as she is set to return on the Broadway stage for the premiere of the musical Allegiance.
The musical is based on George Takei’s real life childhood experiences, it focuses mainly on the story of brother and sister Sammy and Kei Kimura, who choose different paths to protect their family during the World War II in the US.

The role Kei Kimura will be portrayed by Lea.
According to an interview with Inquirer, Lea said that she is very excited and feels fantastic that she is back.
The last time Lea performed in a lead role in a Broadway musical was in the revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Flower Drum Song” in 2003.
Allegiance will officially open on November 8.
