Kapamilya star Jake Cuenca won the Best Actor title for the 2014 International Film Festival Manhattan held last October 23, 2014 at the Philippine Consulate in the US.
Jake won the award for the movie ‘Mulat’. He competed against other artist from the US.
The actor posted a picture on his Instagram showing his award and captioned it with “Yup that just happened! To God be the glory this is my first international award and I I just won best actor… :)”
In the movie Jake portrays a man who falls for a woman with a “mental affliction.”
The director for the said movie, Diane Ventura, also won the Best Director- Global Feature award.
