In the recent press conference for the movie The Janitor last October 1, 2014, the media noticed that amongst all the cast members, the photo of Derek Ramsay was not included or was removed from the poster of the said movie.
Actor Derek Ramsay plays the antagonist in the movie. The movie also stars actor Dennis Trillo and Richard Gomez.
His image and name was also removed from the tarpaulin of the film’s promotional poster.
Speculations that the reason behind Derek Ramsay absence during the press conference and his image not included on the poster is because of his departure from the Kapamilya network two years after he moved to TV5.
But Derek was quoted by News5’s MJ Marfori stating that Derek was not surprised by his omission in the promotion of “The Janitor”, and non-inclusion in the new movie trailer. But Derek added that he was happy that his scenes as lead villain were not removed from the film itself.
The award winning Cinemalaya movie “The Janitor”, was chosen for theatrical distribution by ABS-CBN’s, Star Cinema.
