He is born and raised in Los Angeles and studied filmmaking at De Anza College in Cupertino, California and Santa Clara University. After his studies, he came back to Manila to pursue his chosen field.
He worked on movies like A Journey Home (2009), Thelma (2011), Transit (2013), and Kid Kulafu (2015).
He recently got married to his long-time girlfriend Toni Gonzaga on June 12, 2015.
