(UPDATE) Last December 12, Viva Films uploaded an “uncut” trailer of their film “Tragic Theater” on its YouTube page.

The trailer was given a rating of “Parental Guidance” on its second review by the regulatory board.

Andi Eigenmann stars in an X-Rated film

The uncut trailer for the horror film “Tragic Theater” despite getting an “X” rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board, was released online.

Tikoy Aguiluz, director of the said film shared on his Facebook account that the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board gave the trailer an X-rating because “it was too scary”.

This rating limits the trailer from being shown in local theaters and on televisions; however the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board or MTRCB does not have a hold on materials uploaded in the internet.

And the movie’s producer, Viva Films released the full two-and-a-half-minute long trailer on its YouTube page, and it already gained a hundred thousand views.

“Tragic Theater” is based on the G.M. Coronel novel about a group of spirit communicators who attempted to exorcise the Manila Film Center, it was said that the construction was rushed resulting to a tragedy that reportedly left more than a hundred workers buried alive in the year 1981 and their spirits hunted the theater since.

The movie stars Andi Eigenmann, John Estrada and Christopher de Leon.

It opens in January of 2015.
