Steve Harvey invited to host Miss Universe 2016?

Despite the controversial coronation night of Miss Universe last December 20, 2015 held in Las Vegas—wherein actor-comedian Steve Harvey mistakenly announced the winner, reports claimed Steve might return as the beauty pageant’s host in 2016.

In an article published by Entertainment tonight last Tuesday (December 22, 2015), Steve Harvey allegedly signed a multi-year deal to host Miss Universe for the next three to seven years.

According to the article, Steve signed the said contract days before the coronation night of Miss Universe.

Meanwhile, in an interview of US weekly with Mark Shapiro, the chief content officer of WME IMG (the company that owns the Miss Universe Organization), he said that he love to have Steve back in the Miss Universe stage.

“I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself,” said Mark.

“The world forgives, the world forgets. It could happen to the best of us. He was so well intended, and he’s such a good guy, and it was really such a mistake that I hope people don’t hold this over him other than for just a good laugh and let it pass,” Mark added.
