No doubt Darren Espanto is one of the country’s best singer today. At a very young age, Darren can actually sing almost any song he was asked to sing – effortlessly.
Last August of 2015, Darren was invited to guest on Wish FM 107.5 Bus HD and was requested to sing Sia’s “Chandelier”. The video was uploaded on Youtube and has garnered more than 5 million views on Youtube todate.
International artist Nicki Minaj took notice of Darren’s talent and posted on Facebook her admiration over Darren’s singing prowess:
“So effortless. Incredible voice!” Minaj said.
On his instagram account, Darren thanked Nikki for the comment:
“WOOOOAAAAH! BRUUUUUUUUHHH! THANK YOU SO MUCH QUEEN @NICKIMINAJ!”
Darren Espanto is the first runner up winner for “The Voice Kids Philippines” Season 1.
