Despite all the controversy surrounding around the recently concluded Miss Universe pageant, Miss Universe 2015 title holder Pia Wurtzbach remained positive and focused amidst all the negativity brought by the mistaken announcement of the winner.
Last December 21, 2015—a day after the coronation night—Pia Wurtzbach turned to her Instagram account and posted her first ever photo as Miss Universe. On the caption, Pia gave her message of thanks to all of her supporters:

On that same day, Miss Universe official Instagram account posted a candid photo of Pia while having her hair and makeup. Pia announced that her first day as Miss Universe has officially begun. She captioned the photo with:
“My 1st day as #MissUniverse has officially begun! Starting it off fresh-faced and #ConfidentlyBeautiful”
