Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez denied that the 1 kilo of marijuana found in his arrest in Pampanga on October 3, belongs to him.
However, the 37-year old actor confessed to GMA News’ Victoria Tulad that he was just about to buy marijuana from a dealer when police officers came to arrest him.

The dealer ran away during the arrest. The actor insisted that he was not arrested at a security checkpoint.
Contrary to Fernandez’s claims, Angeles City police chief Chief Inspector Francisco Guevarra Jr. told GMA News that the actor was nabbed at a checkpoint in Brgy Birhen Delos Remedios. According to him, Fernandez tried to escape from the police but the actor was eventually cornered in San Fernando.
