Actress Marjorie Barretto shrugs off rumors linking her daughter Julia to James Reid. This is after Julia was seen together with James in a coffee shop on which the two have already denied the said allegation.
In an interview with Pep.ph, Marjorie admitted that she feels it is “unfair” for her daughter to be romantically linked to young male stars but she also stressed that she understands that it is also part of showbusiness.

“I feel unfair for her. Pero it’s part of the business, e. Minsan nga, mas marami pang alam ang mga tao kaysa sa amin. Minsan kahit siya, nakita raw sa ganito, parang, ‘Huh? She’s never been to that place,” said the 41-year-old actress.
“It’s part of the business,” concluded Marjorie.
She also added, “I know everything so I don’t have to ask her. I know where she goes and she really doesn’t have time to go dating.”
When asked if she allows Julia to go on a date, she answered, “Oo naman. I don’t wanna be a corny mom. Baka kapag pinigilan ko, hindi na magkuwento ang mga anak ko.”
Along with Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Vin Abrenica, Luis Alandy, Eddie Gutierrez, Yayo Aguila, Joross Gamboa, Jenny Miller, DJ Durano and Trina “Hopia” Legaspi, Marjorie will star in TV5’s upcoming drama series and adaptation of Korean drama entitled “My Fair Lady.”
