Hollywood personality Perez Hilton and former Filipino child star turned acoustic singer Aiza Seguerra expressed their disappointment and frustrations toward United Nationalist Alliance senatorial bet, People’s Champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao after making a controversial statement on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) issues—particularly that of, same-sex marriage.
Through an interview with TV5’s official elections coverage “Bilang Pilipino,” Manny shared his stand on the widely talked about issue. The video snippet was uploaded on “Bilang Pilipino’s” official Facebook page on Monday (February 15, 2016).

Manny’s video snippet capturing his stand on same-sex marriage went viral on various social media websites and even got criticized by LGBT supporters and advocates. One of which is Hollywood personality Perez Hilton who even wrote an article tackling Manny’s controversial statement.
