People’s champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao shared that he was truly inspired and motivated after Pia Wurtzbach brought so much pride and joy for the country after winning this year’s Miss Universe title.
In an interview by PhilBoxing last Tuesday (December 22, 2015) with Manny, he expressed how he admired Pia during the competition and so much more after she was crowned as the most beautiful woman in the world.

“Courage is grace under pressure. This is what Pia showed in the middle of the confusion and controversy that marked her coronation as the new Miss Universe,” said Manny in regards to the erroneous announcement of the winner.
It can be recalled that during the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight last May of this year, Pia reassured the Filipinos that she will retaliate the defeat of Manny with Floyd by winning the Miss Universe crown, on which she was able to effectuate.
“Remember when I lost to Floyd last May, she made a promise to all of us Filipinos that she will avenge that defeat comes the Miss Universe pageant which she just has fulfilled,” stated Manny.
Manny even vowed that he wants to dedicate his next boxing match for Pia as he was given so much inspiration by the beauty queen’s victory.
“Kung kaya nga’t ipinanganga ko rin sa kaniya na iniaalay ko sa kanya at sa mga kababayan natin ang susunod kong laban at pipilitin ko ring ipanalo alang-alang sa bayan,” Pacquiao announced.
