Former Miss Universe title holder Gloria Diaz and Margie Moran couldn’t contain their happiness and even announced that they felt like winning the title for the second time around after Pia Wurtzbach finally wore the crown of Miss Universe 2015.
Fourty-two years after, Philippines had its third Miss Universe which gave so much pride in the country. Both of them acknowledged how excellent Pia’s overall performance is during the competition and that made her truly deserving of the Miss Universe title.

In an interview with ABS-CBN TV Patrol, both beauty queens were in agreement that the much coveted crown is long overdue.
“Fourty-two years, that’s a long time. Three kids after. Yeah, it’s amazing,” Gloria said.
“I was watching with excitement until the very end. I feel sorry for both candidates and for Ms. Philippines her glory was stolen from that moment. She didn’t even get to walk in the aisle. Nevertheless she won” Margie explained.
When asked how Pia handled the question and answer portion,
“She answered very well. She’s very confident, a very good review I think for her personality,” as per Margie.
“The second answer was really very insipiring, and I think that’s what clicked,” said Gloria.
Meanwhile, on the issue of mistakenly announced winner by the actor comedian Steve Harvey, the two had opposite thoughts about it.
“I think it would take time before we forget what really happened and we’ll focus on who the real winner is,” Margie answered.
“There should be a fine, $100,000 right? To both. To Miss Colombia and Miss Universe for the fropa,” as per Gloria.
On the other hand, other former beauty queens expressed how happy and proud they are after Pia won the Miss Universe title and turned to their personal Social Media Accounts. Some of which are Ruffa Gutierrez, Miriam Quiambao, Lara Quigaman, Bianca Manalo, Ariella Arida, Janine Tugonon and Mary Jean Lastimosa.
