Vice President Leni Robredo resigned from her position as head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC). The resignation came after the Vice President received a text message instructing her to desist from attending the cabinet meeting starting Monday (December 5, 2016.)
According to Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, President Rodrigo Duterte has already received the resignation and has accepted Rodredo’s resignation “with a heavy heart.”

“I’ve purposely kept quiet about political issues BUT for her I will always be ready to make a stand. #LabanLeni”
