Actress and TV host Kris Aquino who openly campaigned for Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo thanked the Filipino people for supporting Leni making her the new Vice President of the Philippines.
Leni Robredo got 14,418,817 votes while her closest rival Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. got 14,155,344 votes. Robreo won by a slim margin of 263,473 votes.
On her Instagram account, Kris who is now on a vacation congratulated the new vice president with the following message:

“A friend told me- Kris, wag mo naman itaya ang lahat, paano kung matalo si Leni? I smiled in reply & said marami kaming kakampi sa langit. Happy Birthday Sec Jesse! @lenirobredo said in her speeches, Sec Jesse was my friend, we only met later. I asked her for a pic for IG posting during PNoy’s birthday. I called my cousin @bamaquino & volunteered to shoot an endorsement for Leni. We shot March 15 at their home.”
