After her recent reconciliation with her father, young actress Julia Barretto announced during the press conference of her 18th birthday celebration that she will no longer change her surname.
“It’s the first time I will be speaking about it. I feel that right now there’s really no need to change my last name” the young actress said.
It was in the year 2014 that Julia petitioned the court to change her surname from Baldivia, the real surname of her father Dennis Padilla, to Barretto.

But Julia changed her mind because she knows that her father was unhappy with that decision.
Meanwhile, Julia can’t believe the ongoing rumors that she only made peace with her dad for the sake of publicity, Julia can’t even imagine why people can assume such things.
“How can they even think that way? How can you think that a young child wants to get everything okay again with her own father just for publicity? I can’t even embrace that thought,” she said.
“He is my dad. Why wouldn’t I want to be okay with my dad and have him there on my special day? I made up with him because I want to be okay with my own father not for anybody,” she added.
