John Lloyd Cruz and Piolo Pascual’s movie makes it to Berlinale

Box Office King John Lloyd Cruz and Ultimate Leading Man Piolo Pascual’s most awaited film collaboration dubbed “Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis” exceptionally took a spot in the upcoming 66th Berlin International Film Festival or prominently known as the Berlinale.

In an interview with the correspondents of Bandila, Piolo revealed how he and the rest of the team are looking forward to the premiere of the film in the said festival.

“This is once in a lifetime kaya ipinaglaban talaga natin na magawa natin yung pelikula. We’re all excited because hindi naman para sa atin ito, kundi para sa industriya.”

The eight-hour film was directed by veteran director Lav Diaz and produced by director-producer Paul Soriano. Various award-winning artists will also be joining John Lloyd and Piolo in the said film namely Angel Aquino, Bernardo Bernardo, and Cherie Gil.

“Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis” will be the third Filipino film to enter Berlinale following Ishmael Bernal’s “Himala” in 1983 and Brillante Mendoza’s “Captive” in 2012. The film will be premiered on February 18, 2016 at the Berlinale 2016.
