The lady who gave us the hit songs like Tell Me, It’s Over Now, Points of View, I Remember the Boy and Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin just to name a few is now the source of strength for many because of her courage and strong faith to God.
Joey survived her cervical cancer but in 2003, doctors found out that she has colon cancer. She underwent surgery and was declared cancer free. Then on March 26, 2015, Joey confirmed that her colon cancer has recurred.

Joey recently underwent another operation as her colon cancer has recurred and according to her daughter Trixie Pacis – her mom’s operation has been a success.
