International singer Jessie J commends Darren Espanto for his rendition of Sia’s “Chandelier.”

On Darren’s Instagram account last Thursday (December 10, 2015), the young Filipino singer shared a photo of him with Jessie J.

Alongside his photo, Darren narrated his short conversation with the international singer who commended him for his “Chandelier” cover. The young singer also mentioned that he was left starstruck after his encounter with Jessie J.

“Jessie: Hi! I watched your cover of Chandelier! It was amazing!
Me: Oh thank you! I actually sang “Domino” at the blind auditions during The Voice!
Jessie: Oh really! How was the show? Did you like it?
Me: It was an amazing experience!”

Darren uploaded the said cover last August 2015 on the radio station Wish 107.5, which went viral internationally. He was also recognized by international artist Nicki Minaj who also heard the said cover.

Jessie J is in Manila for her first ever Philippine concert to be held at the Kia Theatre on Thursday (December 10, 2015).
