Jennylyn Mercado explained the reason why she prefers to be single than being committed to a relationship.
In an interview with push.abs-cbn.com, Jennylyn revealed her reason why she would rather be single as of the moment.

“Eh, ayoko lang munang mag-focus sa lovelife ko. Gusto ko sa trabaho, sa career, sa pamilya, kay Jazz, sa sarili ko, doon muna ako magfo-focus.”
The actress also mentioned that she loses her focus whenever she is committed in a relationship, which is why she would rather be single than lose her focus on her career.
“Noong may love life ako, ang daming napipigil kasi ayokong magtrabaho, iba talaga. Ngayon, mas masaya kasi, okey na, eh, baka masira”
Jennylyn is part of the upcoming 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Walang Forever.”
