It seems the problem between father and daughter is not yet over. Dennis Padilla poured his heart out regarding his relationship with daughter Julia Barretto.
The misunderstanding started when Julia filed for a surname change which Dennis vehemently objected. Dennis and Julia had a public reconcilation before the laters debut that resulted to Julia’s withdrawing her petition.
But it seems the petition is still ongoing as Dennis is yet to hear from Julia again. During the presscon of the movie “The Break Up Playlist” starring Sarah Geronimo and Piolo Pascual, Dennis said after Julia’s graduation last March 21, he never saw Julia again.

“Siyempre gusto ko sila makausap. Gusto ko sila makasama. Nung debut ni Julia, one year kaming hindi nagkita-kita ng mga anak ko. Isang taon and then nagkita kami sa debut and her graduation which is magkalapit lang. March 10 yung debut and March 21 yung graduation. After that hindi na kami nagkita. Masakit yun pag tatay ka tapos iisa lang yung industriyang ginagalawan niyo and sometimes siyempre nakakapagod mag-reach out. And I still have other children. Siyempre unfair din dun sa ibang anak ko. So dito muna ako, meron pa nga akong three year old na boy eh. Dito muna ako.” said Dennis.
When asked if Julia is making an effort to get in touch with him, Dennis said it was him who is making the effort to reach out to his daughter. Dennis also revealed that after sending Julia 10 message, he will only get one text reply from his daughter which according to the actor is very painful.
“I text her once in a while, mga once a week dati or twice a week and then naging once a month, minsan once in three weeks. Minsan sunod-sunod ako ang nag-te-text. Well siguro sa sampung text ko nakaka-text back siya ng once. Mga ganun yung ratio.” Dennis said.
