“Eat Bulaga” host Alden Richards is set to return to prime-time with an upcoming series in 2018. The actor is reportedly already in talks with GMA-7 executives regarding the teleserye.
In an interview with PEP, GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Lilybeth G. Rasonable confirmed the news of the actor’s small screen comeback. She said, “Alden will be back on prime-time, I think na-announce na yun. Pinaghahandaan na yun.” She even said that the show is currently in the process of conceptualization, so it is still not decided if Maine will join the series or not.

She stated, “Actually, we’re just doing the concept pa, so hindi ko masabi kung anong klase siya, kung meron ba siyang partner dun, may love interest ba siya dun, hindi ko talaga masabi.Talagang binubuo pa lang, and we’re brainstorming. We want to brainstorm with him.”
She added, “We’ve met him already and presented what we wanted for him and he really liked it and he appreciated the fact that we wanted to also get his ideas. Kasi siyempre, pagbabalik niya ito sa primetime after Destined [To Be Yours] so we want him to be involved in it.”
