As his ex-girlfriend, Heart Evangelista tied the knot with Senator Chiz Escudero last February 15, 2015; hunk actor Daniel Matsunaga had expressed how happy he is for Heart.
“I feel very happy for her” Daniel said in an interview with Pep.
“I’m very happy for her. I’m very happy for Chiz, you know, they deserve each other and they look really happy” he added.

He also shared that it has been a long time since they broke up that he doesn’t feel any bitterness in his heart, and it is a good thing that they remained friends.
“When we broke up, we’ve had this friendship. In a relationship, it’s all about the friendship. And good thing that we carry this friendship until now, we’re fine,” he said.
Daniel believes that everything happens for a reason and God has his own way of showing it.
According to Daniel, he was updated about Heart’s wedding through the social media. When asked about how he felt finding out that Heart’s parents did not attend her wedding, Daniel refused to comment but uttered ““Well, I don’t know what to say. You know, I think as parents, you need to support sometimes. Well, I just wish them the best and God may act in their lives to be more understandable”.
