Batangas Representative Vilma Santos-Recto denied reports that there is a feeling of ‘awkwardness’ between her and actress Jessy Mendiola. Jessy is the rumored girlfriend of actor and TV host Luis Manzano. Luis is Vilma’s son with actor Edu Manzano.
In a phone interview with Ahwel Paz and Ogie Diaz on DZMM 630 on the radio program Mismo last Wednesday (March 8, 2017), Vilma said she has a good relationship with Jessy.

“Ang pinakaimportante lang is nakikita kong masaya sila, masaya ang anak ko at masaya si Jessy” said Vilma. “I don’t think may problema kami kasi kapag nandito naman siya, at ease naman siya. Very casual, relaxed naman siya.” Vilma added.
Luis and Jessy has yet to confirm their relationship.
