(UPDATE) On the night of October 12, 2014, with all the glitz and glamour, one beauty stood out, let us all welcome Miss World Philippines 2014, Valerie Weigmann.
Valerie Weigmann, bagged several other special awards that of Best in Swimsuit, Best in Fashion Runway, Best in Long Gown, Miss Solaire, Miss Figlia, Jessi Mendez Salon Ambassador, Miss Reducin, Miss Blue Water Day Spa, Miss Bench, Miss Olay and Miss Hana.
“I try to live my life in relation to others by putting myself in other people’s shoes. I believe in the importance of empathy and compassion because I see that if all of us can come together as one, we can all be advocates of change,” answered Valerie during the question and answer portion.
The five semifinalists were asked why they should be given the crown.
“I want to inspire and encourage everyone to have a personal advocacy such as my own like enabling the indigenous brothers and sisters from Tarlac because I believe that it is truly in giving that makes us beautiful,” Valerie added to her answer.

Who will be crowned Miss World Philippines 2014?
On October 12, 2014 at 7 pm, the Mall of Asia Arena will be filled with elegance, beauty and grace as 26 lovely Filipinas from around the Philippines and Filipino communities abroad come together with one goal, to be crowned Miss World Philippines 2014.
“Every batch is refreshing and exciting because all of them are just unique. They have different personalities, different outlooks, but all of them have one goal and that is to win the crown of Miss World 2014 Philippines, and eventually to be Miss World,” the National Director for Miss World Philippines, Cory Quirino, said.
Last year, actress Megan Young became the first Filipina to be crowned Miss World and she will pass her title as Miss World Philippines in the local pageant on the given date.
Performing in this special night are GMA artists Jonalyn Viray, Maricris Garcia, Julie Ann San Jose and Frencheska Farr with a unique participation by rapper Abra.
The pageant will be hosted by Mikael Daez and Carla Abellana.
