“The Bible is offensive to those who are offended by its message” – Manny Pacquiao

Boxing champion Manny Pacquiao is again getting the attention of netizens after he posted on his social media accounts Corinthians 1:18 and Colossians 3:5-10 which describes the “foolishness” of those who won’t listen and calls on people to change.

On his Instagram account, Manny posted photo of him and wife Jinkee with the following message:

“The Bible is offensive to those who are offended by its message. Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Colossians 3:5-10

[5] Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. [6] Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. [7] You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. [8] But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. [9] Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices [10] and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. God bless everyone.”

Manny’s latest post received a lot of positive reactions praising the champ for standing by his faith despite the pressure and ridicule he received from his comments over same-sex marriage.

But there are those who accused Manny of using biblical verses to get back at the LGBT community.
