United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) interim president Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco showed to media a copy of Senator Grace Poe’s certificate of candidacy where the Senator indicated that her period of residence in the Philippines is before May 13, 2013.
That makes the residency of Senator Grace nine years and six months, six months short of the required 10 years for any candidate who wants to run for Presidency.
Senator Grace said she is ready to answer all these technical allegations but have not done so before because she has not declared her candidacy yet.
“They look like they are afraid of me. Why?” said Poe.
Susan Roces was asked to comment on the issue at hand but she decided not to and simply said she is confident her daughter Senator Grae Poe can defend herself.
In the latest survery, Senator Grace Poe is a close second to leading Presidential candidate Vice President Jejomar Binay.
