School releases statement on Krisel Mallari salutatorian speech

The Sto. Niño Parochial School (SNPS) in Quezon City recently released an official statement regarding the controversial speech of their 2015 batch salutatorian, Krisel Mallari during their graduation rites.

The video showing Krisel Mallari delivering her salutatorian speech but was interrupted by the program host multiple times. Then Krisel manage to continue her speech but was again interrupted by school officials which prompted Krisel to discontinue her speech.

One – the stoppage of the speech of Krisel Mallari was because she changed it without their approval.

Two – the revised speech is not a “welcome remarks. The revised speech is damaging to the reputation of the school valedictorian whom Krisel claimed as the one who cheated and the school tolerated it.

Three – Ernesto Mallari, the father of Krisel has been harassing teachers and even shouted at then, complaining about the grades of Krisel but he still continues to accept the awards given to Krisel and continues to enroll Krisel to the same school.

The school denies all the allegations made by Krisel. The Department of Education is conducting their own investigation regarding the said matter.
