On his Facebook page, the family of Samboy posted an updated photo of the basketball superstar with the following message:

“Where there is GREAT LOVE, there is always a GREAT MIRACLE ❤❤❤

Uncle Samboy’s 55th birthday was EPIC thanks to Aunt Lelen, Ate Jamie, Yaya Ella, Aunt Marilyn, and his medical team led by Chief Nurse Elaine Indong, and Pauline.
Mom and I shed tears of joy as we witnessed the events take place yesterday via FaceTime. A lot of planning, preparation and logistics (special wheelchair, etc) were needed to pull off his first stroll outside of the hospital and his condo. Aunt Lelen made sure an ambulance was on standby, while Ate Jamie lovingly watched over her dad with so much love and concern.

All went well when they took him to their home in Blue Ridge. Even Ate Jamie’s dog, Kitty, was all over Uncle Samboy in excitement. Everyone had tears of joy while they sang happy birthday to the Skywalker. Later that day, Fr. Gigi Yabut offered Holy Mass for the special intention of continued healing.

An article with more details and pictures along with videos will be released soon. Please stay tuned. For now, we thank and ask all of you to continue praying, offering special Masses for Uncle Samboy’s recovery. Aunt Lelen, Ate Jamie, my mom, and our families will always be grateful for your love.”
