After months of being teased to the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, Kapamilya actor-singer Sam Milby finally explained the reason why he did not pursue the beauty queen, who previously admitted that she has a huge crush on him.
In an interview with ABS-CBN entertainment journalist MJ Felipe, the 31-year-old actor-singer revealed that he and Pia have known each other for quite some time now. Sam explained that even though he and Pia kept in touch, they preferred to keep things as it is since they were both committed to their respective relationships at that time.

Recently, the 26-year-old beauty queen had a television guesting on ABS-CBN’s late talk show program, “Tonight With Boy Abunda” wherein she was asked to choose between Sam and the man she is currently dating, Mikhail Varshavski. When asked about his reaction upon seeing the said interview, Sam shared:
“It was a funny, awkward moment nga and we don’t really know why. I’ve known Pia for so long.”
