Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said he is now open to the possibility of running for president in 2016. This after the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) ruled to dismiss the disqualification case filed against presidential aspirant Grace Poe.
“I agree with all the justices of the Supreme Court that Grace Poe is not a natural-born Filipino. But the politicians voted to sustain the theory that Poe is a natural-born Filipino,” Duterte said in a press conferenceg.
Duterte added if SET will not correct its decision, he may consider running for president in 2016.
“This is not about politics. But this is a constitutional issue, a legal issue, I cannot accept an American president.” ended Duterte.
