During his guest appearance on ‘Tonight with Boy Abunda’ last July 8, veteran actor Ricky Davao revealed that he was surprised when his eldest daughter with actress Jackie Lou Blanco came out as a lesbian.
“The first time niyang binanggit sa akin ito, nagulat ako,” Ricky told the King of Talk. The actor clarified that he was only shocked, but he was not angry with his daughter Rikki Mae.

“Di ako nagalit, nagulat ako. Kasi sabi ko gusto ko magkaroon ng apo sayo,” Ricky narrated.
However, the startling confession of his daughter did not get in the way from understanding Rikki Mae’s preference.
Ricky also told Boy Abunda that he seeks to understand more about the LGBT community and asks his daughter about these matters.
“Bottomline, it’s respect. It’s ‘I love you.’ Kung anuman gusto mo, gawin mo, I will support you. Yun lang yun, magulang ka,” the supportive Ricky shared.
