In a shocking revelation, a Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) official tagged actor-turned-politician Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez as member of “drug group” of the Espinosas based on the affidavit of slain Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa.
In a text message to ABS-CBN News, Gomez dismissed the allegations and called it “laughable.”

“That is ridiculous and outright laughable. I will not even dignify that with an answer huwag nila akong isama sa circus nila!”
CIDG also named Baybay City Vice Mayor Michael Cari, Leyte Gov. Leopoldo Dominico Petilla, and Third District Leyte Rep. Ching Veloso as the politicians involved in the illegal drug trade.
According to the CIDG official, Gomez was included to the affidavit of Espinosa published on social media.
