After decades of being known as the Asia’s Songbird, Kapuso singer-host Regine Velasquez finally revealed the reason why she can no longer belt out when singing.
Based on the report by actress-host Iya Villania-Arellano on ‘Chika Minute’ for GMA 7’s evening news program ’24 Oras’ on Sunday (May 20, 2016), the 46-year-old singer-host shared that she has to be extra careful when it comes to singing and performing songs that are known to have high notes.

According to Regine, it is highly possible for her vocal chords to be affected once forced to belt out when singing. The Asia’s Songbird also mentioned that suffering from acid reflux has a huge impact on her singing capacity.
As of now, Regine admitted that she is slowly accepting her situation and the fact that it will be challenging and crucial for her to match her previous performances.
