Actor Raymart Santiago and estranged ex-wife Claudine Barretto improving relationship takes a dive after the incident between their son Santino Santiago and Santiago’s nephew Raphael, who Barretto claimed choke their son.
In a statement to entertainment site Pep.ph, Santiago dismissed Barretto’s claim of the whole situation.

“Napakababaw! Alam mo, masyado niyang (Claudine) pinapalaki,” Santiago said through a phone interview.
The actor expressed his surprise toward the reaction of his ex-wife with the incident, saying that the conflict was a mere “away-bata.”
“Nagulat na ako kay Claudine na nagwawala-wala. Away-bata! Pinipigilan yung bata na (hindi) makapanakit dahil namamato na ng mga bagay. Yun, actually yun lang yun. Ngayon, pinalaki niya. Pati sa akin galit dahil hindi ko daw kinakampihan ang anak ko. Sabi ko, ‘Anak ko ‘yan, bakit hindi ko kakampihan? Di ba, away-bata ‘yan, ayusin na lang.’”
