On Friday (July 31, 2015), President Benigno Aquino III finally endorses Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Manuel Roxas II for the Presidency in the coming 2016 election.
It has been anticipated that the President would officially announce his support for the DILG secretary in his last State of the Nation Address (SONA), where P-Noy commended Sec. Mar Roxas for his competency and dedication.

PNoy gathered his most committed confederates to proclaim his endorsement for Presidency at the Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan. He also expressed his confidence that Roxas will pursue the straight path that he started.
Roxas accepted the challenge saying, “Tanggap ko ang hamon na ituloy ang daang matuwid.”
