Miss Universe Pia Wurtzback returned to Manila ahead of her scheduled meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte. Pia will pay a courtesy call on the President to discuss the possibility of holding the Miss Universe 2017 pageant here in the Philippines.
In a statement made by Department of Tourism (DOT) secretary Wanda Teo, President Duterte already agreed to host the Miss Universe in the country. Hosting the pageant will be a great boost to tourism in the Philippines.
Pia have been very vocal about her eagerness to have the Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines. Maxine Medina will be the country’s bet for the beauty pageant.
