On December 25, 2015, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach sent a touching message to Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo to end whatever misunderstand there is if any.
Miss Universe host Steve Harvey mistakenly declared Miss Colombia as the winner and then corrected himself and awarded the crown to the rightful princess – Miss Philippines.
On her Instagram account, Pia said Ariadna is an amazing woman and has done proud her country Colombia:
“To Ariadna, you are an amazing woman and we are now bonded together forever by a unique experience. In the last 3 weeks we were together, I saw how strong and beautiful you are inside and out. You represented your country with honor and I know how proud everyone must be of you.
Fate has a plan for you, and I’m excited to see what’s ahead.”
