In an interview with Pia during the Binibining Pilipinas event, Pia reacted to the news and said she is flattered that she is being considered to play the role of Darna.
“Sana. Sympre nagpapasalamat ako at nagpapakita sila ng interest yung mga manonood na ako yung maging Darna” said Pia. “Pero hindi ako eh. Mukhang iba yung ang plano ng ABS-CBN.” added Pia.
