With the post-raid operations against Sky High Marketing Corporation in Quiapo last May 27, 2010 conducted by the Optical Media Board, it’s Chairman, former action star Ronnie Ricketts and four other members of the OMB was suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman due to neglect for duty and also orders the filing of criminal charges against them for graft and corruption.
Upon investigation, the OMB[Optical Media Board] seized more than 100 boxes of pirated DVDs and arrested three Chinese nationals, the seized items was then brought to the OMB office but later that same evening, the items was pulled out by a truck owned by the raided establishment without any approved gate pass.
According to the Office of the Ombudsman, the released of the seized items just compromised the evidence.
“The unjustified release of the confiscated items compromised the pieces of evidence that could substantiate a case/s, thereby giving unwarranted benefit to Sky High Marketing Corporation,” the Ombudsman stated.
