News about Japan declaring Korina Sanchez Persona Non Grata is a hoax

The news that Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe declaring broadcaster and journalist Korina Sanchez persona non grata to Japan became viral after ‘So What’s News’ posted such story.

Beside the article by ‘So What’s News?’ is a disclaimer stating that “So, What’s News? is a SATIRICAL & FICTIONAL news website. Our aim is to inject humor into everyday news to provide respite to readers who have grown weary with mainstream news organization’s partisan, biased and depressing way of presenting the news”.

Last December 3 on the newscast of ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol, Korina said she hoped Typhoon Ruby would hit Japan instead of the Philippines, and that Filipinos could still pray the typhoon away.

Netizens reacted to such opinion and the December 3 episode of TV Patrol also went viral.

In the article by ‘So, What’s News?’ Japan’s Prime Minister allegedly declared to the public that Korina and her co-anchor Noli De Castro is now a persona non grata to Japan.
