The newly-crowned Ms. Chinatown Shirley Vy received a tremendous applause from the audience during the question and answer portion of the Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Grand Coronation last July 31, Sunday at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila.
The music artist from Tacloban gave her stand on the Philippines’ recent victory in the PH-China territorial dispute in the islands at the West Philippine Sea.

The question, which came from newly-elected senator Risa Hontiveros, read: “How would you use our recent victory in the permanent court of arbitration?”
Shirley advocated for fostering and maintaining the friendship between the Philippines and China, which was forged for centuries, by bein civil in all platforms.
