The official Miss Universe Germany Facebook page posted an apology after Miss Germany Sarah-Lorriane Riek said in a controversial interview video that she is “not happy” with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach’s victory.
An apology coming from Miss Universe Germany Sarah-Lorraine herself, was released and posted on Miss Universe Germany’s official Facebook page on Tuesday (December 22, 2015).

An interview video of Miss Germany went viral just hours after the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night because of Sarah-Lorraine’s controversial statement with regard to Pia’s triumph.
“I really couldn’t believe it, I was so upset because for me, Miss France was the real winner. I was very happy with Miss Colombia. Actually, she really deserves it but I’m really not happy with the result and so are the other girls,” Miss Germany said.
When asked why most of the pageant finalists went straight to console Miss Colombia instead of congratulating Miss Philippines, Sarah-Lorraine commented,
