Save the Children is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children’s rights and provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.
Kapuso stars Mikael Daez and Kylie Padilla are the first Filipino to get in line among its international ambassadors such as Hollywood actresses, Jennifer Garner and Julianne Moore, football star Cristiano Ronaldo, and international celebrity stylist, Rachel Zoe.
Mikael and Kylie were launched as ambassadors of Save the Children charity at a press conference held in Abe restaurant at SM Mall of Asia last November 4, 2014.
Save the Children gives help by providing life-saving aid, recovery, and rehabilitation support for children to play and recover from painful and traumatic experiences brought by the typhoon Yolanda.
Kylie, expressed how honored she is to be chosen and can’t wait to spend time with the children from Tacloban.
While Mikael said “I wanna see it personally. I’m looking forward to going with Kylie, we want to lend a hand in any way we can. I am privileged to be able to use my work for this excellent cause.”
Mikael and Kylie will be visiting Tacloban in the coming weeks to extend their support and help out children who have been affected by Yolanda.
