Actor Derek Ramsay plays the role of a doctor in Star Cinema’s movie ‘Ex with Benefits’. Coleen Garcia on the other hands plays the role of a medical representative (medrep) out to convince Derek to buy from here – no matter what it takes.
This is just a snippet of what to expect based on the cinema tralier of the said movie released just recently.
Netizens and some medreps finds the plot a bit offensive as it put the medrep profession in a bad light.
On his Instagram account, Derek gave his sentiments about the said issue:
“To all medreps out there i just want to that I have complete respect for the work you do. Alam ko mahirap Ang trabaho nyo at mahirap makuha Ang tiwala ng mga doctor. Sana mapanood nyo muna Ang pelikula before assuming na negative Ang image na pinapakita namin sa mga medrep. When an action movie has a corrupt politician or policeman we don’t assume all politicians and policemen are corrupt. I hope this message will clarify the issues.tnx 🙂 #respectformedreps”
