Singer Richard Poon and actress Maricar Reyes tied the knot last June 9, 2013. It has been two years and they are faithfully loving each other still. Recently, the couple took a vacation in Japan to have some quality time for themselves.
In an episode of the daily morning show Kris TV on Thursday (July 9, 2015), the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino mentioned that the key to a strong relationship is to keep admiration level high.

Richard and Maricar said that the saying “opposites attract” remains true but they also recognize that the saying has it’s weaknesses.
“You’re not as easily irritated at first kasi parang aliw na aliw ka sa lahat ng qualities n’ya” said Maricar.
“I think totoo ‘yun eh. Natural na ‘yung the thing you like about the person, is what ‘yung wala ka eh but later on, habang kayo na, you get irritated na. Bakit hindi s’ya katulad ko?” said Richard
“I think very dangerous yung slope na ‘yun eh. Na yung gustong-gusto mo sa isang tao na wala sa ‘yo, ‘yun din ang dahilan you get irritated na,” added Richard.
Richard further explained their differences:
“She’s more soft and gentle (referring to Maricar). Ako, I’m more confrontative so naiirita ako ngayon. So the attraction is, ayy ang bait n’ya. She’s very kind. Pasensyosa. And later, naiirita na ‘ko kasi dapat i-confront n’ya na ‘yung hindi nagbabayad sa kanya eh. That strength now becomes irritable to me” said Richard
Maricar also shared that he admired Richard the most for his cooking since she did not know how to cook.
In the end, despite being opposite, these differences are helping them keep their admiration level high.
