It could be remembered that Filipino boxing champ and Saranggani Rep. Manny Pacquiao joined President Benigno Aquino III last April 27 to ask Indonesian President Joko Widodo to save Mary Jane Veloso from execution. Mary Jane was convicted for drug trafficking charges.
Manny also left a promise that he would visit Mary Jane after his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. After continuous and collective efforts to save Mary Jane, she was granted a last-minute reprieve and is detained at the Wirongunan prison in Yogyakarta.

In connection with this, Manny who was also the house committee head on migrant workers went to Jakarta, Indonesia on Tuesday (July 7, 2015) to fulfill his promise in visiting Mary Jane.
On his Instagram account, Pacquiao shared a photo of him accompanied by his wife, Jinkee, captioned:
